Visualization

Understanding the circumstances of a vehicle collision is easier when the relationships between drivers, vehicles, and the roadway environment are able to be visualized. MSC uses several different tools to help clients visualize collision scenarios. Some of the visualization tools we use include:

Simulation Programs: These programs model vehicle behavior by applying physical laws and scientific principles. Many of these programs produce high-quality movie files to supplement the analytical data.

Animation Programs: These programs demonstrate the dynamic relationships that come to light in a scientific analysis. They can be driven by the results of an empirical analysis, creating movie files that look and feel lifelike, and are physically accurate.

High-Definition (HD) Videography: HD, fixed-frame-rate video can be a powerful tool when used to demonstrate the circumstances of a collision, road geometry, or a vehicle maneuver.

High Dynamic Range & Low Dynamic Range Forensic Photography: By combining the illumination and luminance from several exposures, we can create a single image that accurately replicates a night time scene. View our website that describes the forensic use of digital imagery.

We work seemlessly with professional graphic designers like Big Impact Graphics to create high-quality trial exhibits and training aides when needed.
