Upcoming Training & Events:october 7, 2009 25th Anniversary of NAPARS Bill Messerschmidt will be an invited speaker at the annual conference of the National Association of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialists. The conference will focus on Heavy Truck Accident Investigation, including Event Data Recorders. Bill's presentation will cover using software programs to analyze truck EDR data. Other speakers will include Ron Baade, Chuck Veppert, and Wade Bartlett. September 29, 2009 Pennsylvania State Police Seminar The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) 2009 Reconstruction Seminar will be held in State College, PA, beginning on 29 September. June 2009 New Research in Heavy Vehicle Data Recorders Bill Messerschmidt will be an invited speaker at the Midwest Association of Technical Accident Investigator's annual conference. Bill's presentation will cover ongoing research in the area of Heavy Vehicle data recorders. Following the main presentation, Ron DeMonia will join Bill to co-present two break-out sessions on telematics and GPS-integrated fleet management tools. april 22, 2009 Society of Automotive Engineers World Conference Bill Messerschmidt will be presenting a technical paper entitled "A Statistical Analysis of Data from Heavy Vehicle Event Data Recoders" at the 2009 SAE World Conference in Detroit, Michigan. The paper was co-authored by Jeffery W. Muttart, and describes a statistical methodology which successfully predicted the time of impact in event data stored in heavy truck engine control modules. April 16, 2009 Telematics and GPS-Integrated Fleet Management Tools Bill Messerschmidt will be an invited speaker at the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association's Annual Conference, held in Atlanta, Georgia. Bill will be speaking about GPS-integrated fleet management tools and other electronic safety systems which can record accident data and impact fleet safety. March 27, 2009 Mississippi Association for Justice CLE On 27 March, Bill Messerschmidt will be an invited speaker at a continuing legal education seminar sponsored by the Mississippi Association for Justice.
