William Messerschmidt:MSC Staff:Principal Technical Analyst (Birmingham)Bill Messerschmidt is a former police accident reconstructionist. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Auburn University, his master's degree at Columbus State, and completed additional coursework in mathematics, physics, and cognitive science at the University of Alabama (Birmingham). Bill is currently pursuing graduate studies in Human Factors Psychology and is a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. He holds full accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR), and he has completed over 1000 hours of training in accident investigation, accident reconstruction, and highway traffic safety. Bill is the author of several technical papers on accident investigation and reconstruction and has been an invited speaker throughout North America on the subject of Event Data Recorders. He has been qualified as an expert in the areas of accident reconstruction, driver response, and ECM technology by State and Federal Courts from New Mexico to Pennsylvania. E-mail Bill Messerschmidt
